At the end of May, Xiaomi released Mi Band 7 smart tracker in China. With the latest tracker, the company has introduced some new features and enhanced existing ones. Though it was released in its home country, still there was a doubt about some rumored functions. Many tipsters had mentioned that the next smart band will have a smart alarm, always-on display, and GPS functions on the board. During the launch event, Xiaomi never mentioned these features nor displayed them on an official banner.
Now thanks to some users on Reddit, we have all the answers about a global variant of Mi Band 7 or Xiaomi Band 7. We have already covered that some users in Europe have received global models. Now after using it for some days, those users have found out every feature on the tracker.
As per the user, the seven-gen band has a smart alarm function. On the smart band, it is known as Smart Wake function, mentioned users. It will calculate the optimal time to wake you up from light sleep within 10 minutes before the set alarm. If it fails to calculate, the band will wake you at the set time.
The Always-on display function is also available on the new band. It will put your screen on, so you should always see the essential information. There are mixed reviews about the feature. Some users claim they witness heavy battery drain while using an always-on display. On the other hand, some users claim to get a good experience without losing much battery power.
Finally, all the users say there is no GPS function on the Mi Band 7. Users received a non-NFC variant, so there is no NFC function on the band. Xiaomi will sell the NFC variant separately in selected countries. The launch date for the global variant could be in June end or early July.
