According to the site, this year, Samsung will leave the Classic variant from the watch list. Instead, it will launch a regular Galaxy Watch 5 & Watch 5 Pro smartwatch. The Pro model has been leaked by the same team, which claims the termination of the Classic variant.
If we go with this news, then many questions arise. First is why Samsung wants to do it. It could be because of similarities between both current models. If we leave the physical rotating bezel and marginal battery life, then there is no difference. With the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, the company wants to pack a massive amount of power inside the watch. There may be a 572mAh battery on the Pro model to let the user run it for a longer time. Samsung is increasing battery by 60% compared to what we are getting on Galaxy Watch 4.
On the next smartwatches, we could see Wear OS 4.0 version with Samsung’s own custom One UI Watch software. It could also get skin temperature features in the health section. We hope on the next smartwatch, Samsung will deliver all the Google services on-time including Google Assistant. Yes, Google’s voice assistant feature may come on time.
