Forerunner 955 Gets First Stable 11.12 Update

The new Garmin Forerunner 955 & 955 Solar smartwatches are receiving their first software updates. It is a stable version for both watches and comes with some improvements. The software version 11.12 has been released and it is available for the first 10% of users. It is the first update for new watches but doesn’t add any new features as the company did with Epix Gen 2, Fenix 6 series & Fenix 7 series.

As we can see in the changelog, it only mentions bug fixes and function improvements. The first improvement has come to touch handling. We have heard an issue in this particular area from the users, and Garmin has decided to enhance it.

Furthermore, it has enhanced data screen drawing and audio dialect selection features. The company has addressed issues with cycling VO2 Max values. The problem with the VO2 Max value also appeared on Fenix 6 & Fenix 7 smartwatches in the previous version.
